Rajinikanth (Tamil: ரஜினிகாந்த்; born 12 December 1950 as Shivaji RAO Gaekwad) is an Indian actor, media and cultural icons. He made his debut as an actor in the movie National Award-winning film Apoorva Raagangal (1975), directed by k. Balachander, who considers his mentor actor.
After a brief image of antagonistic characters in phase films, he went on to become the Tamil gradually established film actor. Within a few years of his career he claimed that Tamil movie star and has since then continued to support a matinee idol in the popular culture of India.[2] his mannerisms and stylized delivery of movies to their massive popularity and appeal.[2] while working on other regional film industries of India, he also appeared in cinemas in other countries, including the United States of America. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour, in 2000 for his contribution to Indian cinema.[2] he was named one of the most influential people in South Asia by Asiaweek.[2][5] he also was named Forbes as the most influential Indian of India in 2010.[6]
